Champion Rolie Recounts Earning GH₵50 as His First Pay as a Dancer in 2017

Champion Rolie, a well-known Ghanaian dancer and instructor at DWP Academy, recently shared how the dance profession has grown more rewarding.

In an interview on TV3’s The Afternoon Show, he reflected on his journey and the increasing recognition of dance as a respected craft.

Rolie, whose real name is Roland Frimpong Nyarko, recalled earning his first pay of GH₵50 eight years ago.

He noted the significant changes over the years, stating that dancing now pays off well. He explained that while dance was once undervalued, it has now gained much respect and attention.

Rolie mentioned that his career has flourished, allowing him to sign big contracts and achieve substantial financial gains.
