Dion, who has been largely out of the spotlight due to ongoing health issues, was quick to respond to the unauthorized use of her music.

In a statement posted on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), Dion’s management team, in collaboration with Sony Music Entertainment Canada Inc., made it clear that neither the singer nor her team had approved the use of the song at the rally.

“Today, Celine Dion’s management team and her record label, Sony Music Entertainment Canada Inc., became aware of the unauthorized usage of the video, recording, musical performance, and likeness of Celine Dion singing ‘My Heart Will Go On’ at a Donald Trump / JD Vance campaign rally in Montana,” the statement read.

The statement continued: “In no way is this use authorized, and Celine Dion does not endorse this or any similar use… And really, THAT song?”
