Cassie Carli Obituary

Cassie Carli was a mother from Florida whose body was discovered in a shallow grave in a barn on Highway 11 in Springville on Saturday, April 3, 2022.

Cassie Carli was reported missing by her father to Santa Rosa sheriff’s authorities on Monday, March 28.

Carli disappeared after meeting Marcus Spanevelo in a restaurant parking lot in Navarre, Florida to pick up their daughter following a visit with her father,

Her car was discovered the next day in the parking lot behind Juana’s Pagodas, where the pair had met for the child exchange. Her purse and its contents were both inside the car.

Authorities had two addresses in Springville for Spanevelo, one of which was vacant. In the months leading up to Carli’s disappearance, Spanevelo had been living and working in Springville.

Still, prosecutors have not charged Spanevelo with homicide. Cassie Carli’s Family believes Spanevelo is responsible for Cassie Carli’s death.
