Cassie Carli Autopsy Report

Cassie Carli was a Florida mother whose body was discovered in a shallow grave in a barn on Highway 11 in Springville on Saturday, April 3, 2022.

St. Clair County Coroner Dennis Russell on Monday, October 10, 2022, said the final report of the autopsy for Cassie Carli, conducted by the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences, ruled Carli’s cause of death undetermined, and the manner of death also undetermined.

Cassie’s sister Raeann had some comments about the autopsy findings. “My sister was 37 years old, completely healthy, and did not go excitedly pick up her daughter but then decide to bury herself in a location she has no ties to,” Raeann Carli said.

Carli disappeared on March 27, 2022, after meeting Spanevelo in a restaurant parking lot in Navarre, Florida to pick up their daughter following a visit with her father

Cassie Carli was reported missing by her father to Santa Rosa sheriff’s authorities on Monday, March 28.

Her car was discovered the next day in the parking lot behind Juana’s Pagodas, where the pair had met for the child exchange. Her purse and its contents were both inside the car.

Still, prosecutors have not charged her ex-boyfriend Spanevelo with homicide. Cassie Carli’s Family believes Spanevelo is responsible for Cassie Carli’s death.
