Having also won the French Open last month, Alcaraz is now one of only six men to have won both the French Open and Wimbledon in the same season.

He continues to build on his undefeated record in Grand Slam finals, improving to 4-0. Roger Federer remains the only player with a better start in major finals, having gone 7-0.

Reflecting on his achievements, Alcaraz expressed his ambition to join the ranks of tennis legends. “At the end of my career, I want to sit at the same table as the big guys.”  “That’s my main goal. That’s my dream right now.”
