Yes, you can transfer your AT&T account to someone else. This process is known as a Transfer of Billing Responsibility. AT&T allows the transfer of wireless, internet, TV, or home phone services to a new account owner. However, there are a few things you need to know before you start the transfer.

Firstly, your account must be active and not have a past due balance. If you have a wireless account, you can transfer one line or multiple lines on the same account. However, you must pay off or transfer any device installment plans with the lines subject to a transfer request. Also, you must pay off any accessory installment plans associated with wireless lines you want to transfer. Please note that you’ll lose any voicemails associated with your lines when the transfer is complete.

If you have internet, phone, or TV accounts, you must transfer all services at the same time, and the service must stay at the same address. This includes DIRECTV. The receiving account owner of TV, internet, or digital phone services must keep the services at the same service address.

To start the transfer, go to att.com/tobr. Select Start transfer. Read the tips and then select Continue. Enter your ID and password. Follow the prompts. Let the acceptor of the transfer of billing responsibility know which of their email addresses you used to submit the transfer request.

Please note that your plan, features, and pricing may change depending on your service agreement or offer eligibility. For example, if you had multiple lines, but only one is left after you transfer billing responsibility, you may have to choose a new plan or no longer qualify for an offer or discounted pricing. You may see partial-month charges and/or credits on your next bill after the transfer is complete. You’ll receive one final prorated bill, which covers charges up to the date the transfer of billing was completed.

Remember, transferring your AT&T account to someone else will not give you access to their account information or allow you to make changes to their account. It simply allows you to transfer the billing responsibility to them. If you have any questions or need further assistance, you can always reach out to AT&T’s customer service for help.
