The 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 is a 1025-hp street-legal drag-strip special that signals the end of the brand’s V-8 muscle cars. Its four-digit horsepower figure requires E85 gasoline, and with that Dodge claims a quarter-mile time of 8.91 seconds at 151 mph on a prepared surface.

Can a Dodge Demon go 200 mph?

It’ll give you one hell of a quarter-mile run, it’ll give you a permanent smile and, apparently, it’ll also give you membership to the 200-mph club. Johnny Böhmer, a genuine speed freak and a big fan of standing-mile top-speed runs, recently took an ever-so-slightly modified Dodge Demon up to 203 mph.

Can the Dodge Demon go 300 mph?

Yes, it’s not exactly as fast as the record-breaking 300-mph Ford GT, but with roughly 2,500 hp on tap, that one had three times the power of the Demon. It’s also worth mentioning the Dodge is far from being one of the lightest cars in the world. We all know weight is a performance car’s worst nightmare, and at 4,280 pounds (1,941 kilograms), the meanest Challenger of them all weighs just about as much as an Audi Q7 large SUV.

How fast does a 1000-hp Demon go?

Among those were the McLaren 720S and the Tesla Model S P100D, two of the fastest-accelerating stock vehicles to ever find their way onto a drag strip. Both the McLaren as well as the Tesla are capable of sub-10-second 1/4 mile times.
