Ghanaian businessman Amos Kofi Tabiri has leveled accusations against Dr. Lawrence Tetteh, a renowned international evangelist, alleging that Tetteh attempted to forcefully take possession of his land parcel situated in Ofankor, Accra.

Tabiri claims that on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at approximately 2:00 pm, his worker, Yaw, was assaulted by a group of armed men who were demolishing his construction site. The men, totaling about 11, informed Tabiri that they were hired by an individual to dismantle his building, resulting in damages estimated at GHC 50,000.00.

Tabiri additionally claims that the armed men asserted that the adjacent land belonged to Rev. Dr. Lawrence Tetteh. Upon Tabiri confirming his acquaintance with the preacher, the men purportedly threatened to entirely demolish his property if he attempted to intervene.

Tabiri’s friend, Kwame, subsequently reached out to Tetteh’s caretaker to inquire about the incident. The caretaker informed Kwame that he was unaware of the incident but assured him that he would contact Tetteh and provide a response. However, when Kwame followed up with the caretaker the next day, he was told that Tetteh had no knowledge of the incident and would personally visit the site to address the matter with Tabiri.

Fearing for his safety, Tabiri hurried to the police headquarters to file a petition against Tetteh. While drafting his petition, he received a phone call from Inspector Prince Okoh of the Regional Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Accra. Okoh informed him that Tetteh had reported him for obstructing access to his land parcel located behind Tabiri’s property. Tabiri refuted this allegation, asserting that his property is fenced and that he has been conducting his business there for over four years.

Tabiri is now petitioning for an investigation into the incident to ensure that all perpetrators are brought to justice and held accountable for their actions.

As of now, Rev. Dr. Lawrence Tetteh has not provided any response to these allegations.
