Buharicracy, sorry, Bureaucracy.
President Muhammadu Buhari asked all ministers to channel their requests to meet him through his chief of staff Ibrahim Gambari.
He said this while he was speaking at the first-year ministerial performance review retreat of his administration, in Abuja on Tuesday.
He added that all executive council issues should be coordinated through the secretary to the federal government.
“Let me also reiterate that all submissions for my attention or meeting requests should be channeled through the chief of staff, while all federal Executive council matters should be coordinated through the secretary to the government of the federation.” He said.
This is the second time that the president has given such directive to the ministers. He issued this directive in 2019 asking the ministers to submit such requests through the late chief of staff Abba Kyari. The order at the time caused different opposing views suggesting that Buhari had handed over to Kyari.
