Brighton & Hove Albion have completed the club-record £40 million signing of French international Georginio Rutter from Leeds United.

The 22-year-old forward, who scored eight goals and provided 16 assists in 51 appearances for Leeds United last season, becomes Brighton & Hove Albion’s seventh summer signing under new head coach Fabian Hurzeler.
Brighton & Hove Albion activated a £40 million release clause in Rutter’s contract, sealing the deal after the player agreed to the move and bid farewell to his Leeds teammates.
