Birmingham: Who was Muhammed Sohail? Man shot dead in car identified

West Midlands Police has released a photograph of the tragic 25-year-old found with fatal injuries in a car in Saltley, Birmingham.

The victim identified as Muhammed Sohail was found seriously injured in a car on Wright Road at around 12:45 am on Saturday, February 19. Sohail was pronounced dead at the scene, despite attempts to save his life.

Sohail, 25, was a resident of Saltley living with his wife.

Speaking at the scene on Saturday with BirminghamLive, Mr. Sohail’s brother Mohammed and his widowed wife testified passionately of his character. “He was a happy, jolly person and never had arguments or got into trouble with anyone”, Sohail’s widow said.

Sohail was known to be industrious, kind-hearted, and with so much energy to work four jobs.

The incident has left his family devastated, and while tributes and condolences pour in, investigations continue to get to the bottom of the homicide case.
