Popular Nigerian singer, Burna Boy, has been awarded the Best International act awards at the 2021 BET Awards.

The multiple award-winning artists was up against his colleagues, Wizkid, Aya Nakamura (France), Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania) and Emicida (Brazil). Other artists who were nominated for the same category includes Headie One (United Kingdom), Young T& Bugsey (United Kingdom) and Youssopha (France).
Burna Boy emerged as the winner in this category for the first time since 2019. This award is in addition to his latest win for the World Best Music Album of the year at the Grammy Awards.
The BET Awards was held at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday and was hosted by the 6-time BET Best actress winner, Taraji P. Henson. The BET Awards is an American award held over the years to recognise Americans in music, acting, sports and other fields of entertainment.
