Benjamin Messina, a French Jumps rider was involved in a serious car crash in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Though emergency services rushed to the scene in Marigné-Peuton, they were unable to save the teenager and two other people; a 31-year-old man and a woman aged 26.

According to a report by Equidia, the accident occurred around 3.30am on Sunday.

Benjamin Messina’s sudden death comes just six days after he won at the Craon racecourse on June 13, 2022, riding Hunion Delabrairie.
