Ipswich Town has secured the signing of 24-year-old defender Ben Johnson on a free transfer following his departure from West Ham United.

Ben Johnson has committed to a four-year contract with the Tractor Boys after making 109 appearances for the Hammers, including a notable triumph in the Europa Conference League in 2023.

Ben Johnson played extensively for West Ham United as a right back and he was a very important squad member for West Ham. Ben Johnson has also made a number of appearances for the England national youth teams.

Manager Kieran McKenna expressed his satisfaction with the acquisition, emphasizing Johnson’s alignment with the club’s recruitment strategy.
He stated: “Ben is a player who fits the profile we like to bring to the club. He is a young and talented defender with good technical quality, as well as excellent physical attributes.”
