Multiple sources have claimed that the couple’s divorce documents are finalized but have not yet been submitted. The news comes on the heels of Affleck purchasing a new $20.5 million mansion in the Pacific Palisades on Wednesday, July 24, which also happened to be Lopez’s 55th birthday.
Friends of Lopez have described Affleck’s sudden purchase of a bachelor pad on her birthday as a “stab to the heart.” This move followed the couple listing their Beverly Hills mansion for $68 million.

According to a source close to the couple, they finalized the divorce papers a month ago but are waiting for the right time to file them.
When they do, they plan to release a joint statement expressing their love for each other and acknowledging that they tried to make their marriage work but ultimately couldn’t.
Another source added that the couple could not come to a compromise in the end. “What they had before is gone, and they have both accepted it,” the source claimed.
