Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl has addressed the speculation surrounding Matthijs De Ligt and a potential move to Manchester United.

Earlier in the transfer window, Matthijs De Ligt was linked with Manchester United, especially as they sought to strengthen their defense.
However, the signing of Leny Yoro from Lille seemed to diminish these rumors, until Yoro’s recent injury forced United back into the market for another center-back.

Matthijs De Ligt, who previously worked with Erik Ten Hag at Ajax, appears keen on a move to Old Trafford to test himself in the Premier League.
Despite this, Eberl stated that no decision has been made yet. “I will comment on that when the time comes,” Eberl told Sky Sports. “Matthijs has been excellent for us and is still a Bayern player. He will receive our full support.”
In the coming weeks, more actions will be taken by Manchester United to secure some signings before the season starts.
