Bayern Munich were overtaken by Stuttgart in the German Bundesliga on the last day of the season, that is on Saturday, May 18, 2024, when Bayern Munich lost to Hoffenheim while Stuttgart won against Borussia Monchengladbach.

Bayern Munich took a 2-0 lead against Hoffenheim but later blew away the lead as Hoffenheim clinched a 4-2 victory with two late goals.
Stuttgart, on the other hand, trashed Borussia Monchengladbach 4-0 at home to make a very bold statement in the German Bundesliga.
This third place position of Bayern Munich marks the first time in over 12 years since the German powerhouse finish as low as third in the German Bundesliga.
Bayern Munich have already announced that they have parted ways with Thomas Tuchel.
