Despite making 36 La Liga appearances last season, which triggered an extension in his contract until 2026, Ilkay Gündoğan’s future at Barcelona is now uncertain.
There are widespread reports suggesting that he has reached out to his former club, Manchester City, to explore a possible return. Pep Guardiola’s side is reportedly open to the idea of bringing Gündoğan back after just a year away.
Additionally, clubs in Turkey as well as non European clubs are also believed to be interested in the Ilkay Gündoğan.
