Banky W Returns To School to Pursue Master’s Degree in Policy

Musician-turned-politician Bankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W, has taken a significant step towards furthering his education following his defeat in the 2023 Nigerian general election. The former candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency in Lagos State, who lost to Thaddeus Attah of the Labour Party (LP), is now enrolled at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.

Banky W updated his followers on his new academic pursuit through an Instagram post on Friday. He revealed that he is working towards a master’s degree in policy.

In his message, Banky W shared, “Gave up being a CEO to become a student because sometimes you have to let go of what is impressive to gain what is important. I’m pursuing a Master’s in Policy at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. The journey of faith continues. Please wish me well.”

This decision comes shortly after a challenging period for Banky W, who recently survived his fourth cancer surgery.
