Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin made this appeal during the launch of the Democracy Cup, a landmark event commemorating thirty years of parliamentary democracy in Ghana.
In his keynote speech, Speaker Alban Bagbin praised the evolution of Ghana’s parliament in fostering democracy, accountability, and national unity.

Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin stated the importance of the Democracy Cup in bridging the gap between Parliament and the citizenry, enhancing a shared celebration of Ghana’s democratic achievements.
The Democracy Cup will feature a football match between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak, symbolizing unity and sportsmanship in the lead-up to the December elections.
Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin also extended an invitation to the public to attend the match and support the teams.
