Ayiri Emami, a well-known businessman, has revealed that Alex Timileyin, a 200-level student at Ajayi Crowther University in Oyo State, who was allegedly beaten to death by fellow students over a stolen mobile phone, is a princess in both Uvwie and Warri kingdoms in Delta State.

Earlier reports mentioned that Timileyin was beaten in her hostel, Shepherd Inn, on May 25, 2024.

A video showed the tragic event, where Timileyin was on the floor being hit with sticks by other students. The university has since expelled the involved students and handed them over to the police.

The incident has drawn significant public outrage, with many demanding justice for Timileyin and calling for the prosecution of the responsible students.

In a video posted on Sunday, Ayiri Emami emphasized that Timileyin was a princess in both Uvwie and Warri kingdoms. He urged Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State to ensure that the case is thoroughly investigated and not ignored.

Further investigations revealed that the late Timileyin was the daughter of Princess Antonia Emiko, who is the daughter of Olu Erejuwa II and an aunt of the current Olu of Warri.

This makes Timileyin a first cousin of His Majesty, Ogíamè Atuwatsé III CFR, the current Olu of Warri Kingdom. The royal connections of Timileyin add a significant layer to this already tragic incident, intensifying calls for justice.
