Autumn Crittendon, Alumna of ’16 and Pregnant,’ Passes Away at 27

Autumn Crittendon, known for her appearance on the fifth season of MTV’s 16 and Pregnant, has died at the age of 27.

Crittendon, also known as Autumn Oxley, passed away on Saturday, July 20 2024,  at a home in Henrico, VA.

Police and paramedics were called to the residence at 3:12 p.m. following a report of a medical emergency.

Upon arrival, Crittendon was found unresponsive, and despite efforts by paramedics, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Henrico County Police Department is treating the incident as a death investigation and is working with the medical examiner to determine the cause and manner of death.

Crittendon appeared on 16 and Pregnant in 2010, where the show documented her pregnancy and the birth of her eldest son, Drake. She later had two more children.

Crittendon’s sister, Misty, initially announced her death on Facebook but has since removed the post.

Crittendon’s passing follows a series of tragic deaths among former 16 and Pregnant cast members. Valerie Fairman, from Season 2, died of a drug overdose in 2016; Jordan Cashmyer, from 2014, died in 2022 from fentanyl and cocaine intoxication; and Sean Grainger, from Season 6B, died in an ATV accident in March. Derek Underwood, the father of Farrah Abraham’s baby, died in a car crash in 2008 just before the baby’s birth.
