The all-time leading goal scorer for the senior national team of Ghana, the Black Stars of Ghana, Asamoah Gyan, has offered to pay seven thousand dollars to support an amateur boxer.
Joseph Awinongya Jr has received massive support from the former Sunderland attacker to help him reach his goals of becoming a professional boxer. Joseph Awinongya Jr receives this bumper deal of $7000 from Asamoah Gyan’s foundation.
Asamoah Gyan is still into active football after playing for several clubs on the continents. He is currently with Legon Cities Football in the Ghana Premier League. He started his football career in Ghana from Liberty Professional before exiting the county.
Asamoah Gyan wish to retire from football with a club in Ghana but have not ruled out joining any European club should an interest comes his way. Baby Jet is the current General Captain of the Black Stars of Ghana but has not been called by coach CK Akornor for the last matches played in the International friendlies and African Cup of Nations Qualifiers.
