Gyan holds the record for the most goals scored in the history of the Ghana national team, netting a total of 51 goals throughout his career.

He proudly represented Ghana in the FIFA World Cups of 2006, 2010, and 2014, where he showcased his talent by scoring 6 goals, making him the leading African goal scorer in World Cup history.

Additionally, Gyan participated in the 2004 Summer Olympics and featured in seven Africa Cup of Nations tournaments from 2008 to 2019. During these competitions, Ghana achieved notable successes, including a third-place finish in 2008 and being runners-up in 2010 and 2015.

In a celebratory event held at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel in Accra, Gyan unveiled his memoir, “LeGYANdry.”

On June 20, 2023, he officially announced his retirement from professional football, marking the end of an illustrious career filled with remarkable achievements and unforgettable moments on the field.
