It achieved the highest number of streams on opening day with 5.86 million, surpassing Davido’s previous record of 4.91 million streams for Timeless.
It also reached a remarkable 9.2 million global streams on debut day, making it the most-streamed Nigerian album ever on Spotify.

The track “MMS” stood out as the most-streamed single on its first day with 870,577 streams, beating Wizkid’s “IDK” featuring Zlatan, which had 626,000 streams.
Additionally, Lungu Boy recorded the highest number of second-day streams in 2024 with 3.03 million, exceeding the first-day streams of other albums released this year.
These impressive figures underscore Asake’s growing prominence in the music industry, marking Lungu Boy as a milestone in his rise to global stardom.
