Arsenal have knocked down Nottingham Forest’s £25 million proposal for striker Eddie Nketiah, who might leave the club this summer.

Despite scoring 38 goals in 168 appearances for Arsenal, Nketiah has failed to get consistent playing time, making only 10 starts last season.

In 2024, he has not started a single game, while Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus and German attacker Kai Havertz are preferred.

Nketiah, who joined Arsenal’s youth after leaving Chelsea, made his senior debut in the 2017 Europa League against BATE Borisov.

He then scored his first Premier League goal in a 2019 victory over Burnley. Nottingham Forest are eager to recruit the 24-year-old, with manager Nuno Espirito Santo seeing him as an important boost to their assault.

According to The Athletic, Nottingham Forest’s initial bid of £25 million, including add-ons, was rejected, with Arsenal requesting a cost closer to £30-£35 million. The teams are now in talks with Eddie Nketiah’s representation.
