Arsenal are finalizing a permanent move for Brentford goalkeeper David Raya. David Raya joined the Gunners last summer on a season-long loan to provide competition for Aaron Ramsdale.

It quickly became apparent that Mikel Arteta viewed the Spanish goalkeeper as his preferred No.1, relegating Aaron Ramsdale to a secondary role.
The loan deal included an option for a £27 million permanent transfer in the summer of 2024, though it was not obligatory.

However, a recent update on the club’s website suggests Arsenal have decided to make the transfer permanent. David Raya remains listed as a player for the Gunners, despite the loan officially ending on June 30.
With the agreement for David Raya’s permanent transfer seemingly in place, Arsenal are now focusing on further strengthening their squad ahead of their pre-season tour later this month.
David Raya is currently plying his trade with the Spanish national team at the Euro 2024 tournament in Germany.
