Since joining Manchester City from River Plate in January 2022, Julian Alvarez has impressed with his goal-scoring prowess and undeniable talent, but his role as a backup to Erling Haaland has fueled speculation about his future.

Julian Alvarez, who transferred to City for £14 million, has expressed his desire for more regular playing time.

Speaking on DSports Radio, he said, “Last season I played a lot of minutes, but in important games, it’s not pleasant to be left out. I will reflect on my future after the Olympics.”

Pep Guardiola responded, “I know he wants to play in important moments. We will see what happens once his agent talks to Txiki.”
