The Edo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially accepted the resignation of its former Vice Chairman, Chief Francis Inegbeneki. Inegbeneki tendered his resignation letter to the Ward 9 Chairman of the party at Opoji in Esan Central Local Government Area on Friday, June 7, 2024.

In his resignation, Inegbeneki also withdrew his membership from the APC, citing recent developments within the local and state chapters of the party as his reasons for stepping down.

The state chairman of the APC, Jarrett Tenebe, issued a statement in Benin City, acknowledging Inegbeneki’s decision and wishing him well in his future political endeavors. Tenebe praised Inegbeneki for his loyalty and dedication to the party since its inception, noting his tireless efforts in promoting the party’s ideals and advancing the interests of its members and supporters across the state.

“His contributions to the growth and development of the party cannot be overstated, and we are grateful for the time he spent with us,” Tenebe remarked.
Despite Inegbeneki’s departure, Tenebe called on all APC members and supporters within and outside Edo State to remain steadfast and committed to the party’s cause. He emphasized the importance of unity and collective effort in mobilizing communities, engaging with fellow citizens, and spreading the message of hope and change that the APC represents.
“We must now look forward to the future and focus our efforts on the task of liberating Edo State from the ineffective government of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),” Tenebe concluded.
