Antonio Conte has been formally declared as Napoli’s new coach, with a contract that extends until the summer of 2027. This announcement follows a dinner meeting in Rome on Tuesday between Conte and Napoli’s President, Aurelio De Laurentiis, to seal the deal after several months of discussions.

Conte arrived in Rome earlier that day. According to Sky Sport Italia, the finalization of the contract involved important discussions about image rights. The contract is reportedly valued at €6.5 million per season, with additional bonuses. It spans three years and does not include a release clause.

This appointment makes him the team’s fifth manager in just over a year, following a season of turmoil for the deposed Serie A champion.
Conte, a league title winner in both England and Italy, had been away from the dugout for over a year after leaving Tottenham by mutual consent in March 2023.
His departure followed a post-match rant against his players and club ownership. Napoli, which lifted its first Serie A trophy in more than three decades in 2023, is now looking to rebuild under Conte’s leadership.
