Murray, who recently exited Wimbledon for the final time alongside his brother Jamie in the men’s doubles, revealed on Twitter that the upcoming Olympic Games will be his last tournament.
He expressed pride in representing Britain one final time, calling it “the most memorable weeks of my career.”
At the Paris Olympics, the 37-year-old Murray is expected to compete in both singles and men’s doubles. He has previously won gold in singles at the London 2012 Olympics and defended his title in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
The Paris Games will mark his fifth and final Olympic appearance.

This announcement comes after Murray’s previous retirement announcement at the 2019 Australian Open, which was later retracted.
Recent injuries, including an ankle issue and a spinal cyst operation, have significantly impacted his playing schedule.
Murray will be remembered for ending Britain’s 77-year wait for a men’s singles Wimbledon champion and his advocacy for gender equality in tennis.
