Dolapo Omolola Adeleke (LowlaDee) is an African Filmmaker.
She was born on September 6, 1990, in Kano state Nigeria. Dolapo had her secondary education in Dansol High school in Lagos. She studied Mass Communication at the covenant university and graduated with a second class upper in 2011.
She is also a writer, producer-director and editor. She began directing films at age 21 and was part of the Vanguard list of young Nigerians making a significant impact. She won the Best teen writer of the year award by Angles Magazine for writing Flesh and Blood and The Little White Hen.
Her short film ‘Brave’ which starred Adesua Etomi and Wole Ojo saw her get a nomination the Best Film Director category of the Nigerian Entertainment Awards n 2015
In 2015, she went on to produce her first critically acclaimed Television Film A Place Called Happy merging Nigerian and Ghanaian actors.
In 2016, she released her first highly acclaimed Mini SeriesThis Is It on her YouTube Platform merging Nigerian and Kenyan cast. It instantly gained popularity and gathered over 8 million views.
LowlaDee Wrote, Directed and Edited the 60 minutes Valentine’s Day Digital film and PLAN B, a Kenyan-Nigerian story which garnered over one million views in its first two weeks.
One of her series which also made a big hit on YouTube and various TV stations was ‘This is it’ which featured Kenyan actor Nick Mutuma and Nigerian actress Chy Nwakanwa.
