Who is Alex Roldan?
Alex Roldan is the third of three sons born to Cesar Roldan and Ana Roldan. His elder brothers are Cesar Jr., who works as a trainer for the LA Galaxy, and Cristian Roldan, who plays as a midfielder for Major League Soccer club Seattle Sounders FC and the United States national team.
Alex was born on July 28, 1996, and is a professional footballer who plays as a right-back for Major League Soccer club Seattle Sounders FC.
Despite being born in the United States, Alex captains the El Salvador national team.
Alex attended El Rancho High School in Pico Rivera, California. He played soccer for The Dons helping them to the playoffs all four years and winning a state championship. During his time with The Dons, he earned first-team all-league three times and was named league MVP in after his senior season.

Alex attended Seattle University for his undergraduate studies. Roldan appeared in 82 games for the Redhawks over four seasons, tallying 18 goals and 17 assists.
Seattle Sounders FC picked Alex 22nd overall in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft on January 19, 2018.
He joined the team in February 2018 and assisted his brother Cristian Roldan in his first-ever MLS career start against Sporting Kansas City, making them the fifth set of brothers to score/assist together.
They also became the eighth pair of brothers in MLS history, and the first for the Sounders, to start an MLS match together.
Eligible for the United States, Guatemala, and El Salvador, Alex made his international debut as a substitute on July 11, 2021, in El Salvador’s first group stage match against Guatemala, where he also got his first goal, scoring the first in a 2–0 victory.
