Alex Quinonez, World 200m bronze medallist, cause of death revealed

Alex Quinonez was a 100 and 200 metres sprinter from Ecuador, a South American country. Alex was born on the 11th of August 1989 in Ecuador. Alex was a fine sprinter, he obtained hold, silver, and bronze medals for his country mostly when he represented them.

In 2019, Alex represented Ecuador at the World Championships in the 200 metres event and he won the bronze medal.

Since 2012, Alex Quinonez has been a very popular name when it came to South American athletics and sports.

Alex qualified to the 2020 Summer Olympics in the 200m in Tokyo to represent Ecuador. Unfortunately, Alex was provisionally suspended for “whereabouts failures” a few weeks before the games began.

Alex Quiñónez was killed on 21 October 2021, in Guayaquil by unknown gunmen who shot him.
