The English actor Alexander Stephen Hassell known in the industry as Alex Hassell is co-founder of The Factory Theatre Company.
A native of Southend-on-Sea, Hassell made his acting debut in the 2021 Canadian action–adventure television series Queen of Swords which he played the role of Andreo Rey.

His early television credit includes Murder in Mind (2003), Danielle Cable: Eyewitness (2003), Warrior Queen (2003), The Private Life of Samuel Pepys (2003), Kenneth Tynan: In Praise of Hardcore (2005), Robin Hood (2006), and Bonkers (2007).
Hassell’s first film role was in the 2003 epic period war film written and directed by Anthony Minghella, Cold Mountain.
He got his first major television role Lysander in William Shakespeare’s play A Midsummer Night’s Dream in 2009.
A career that has spanned over two decades, Hassell has played in more than 40 movies and TV shows.
