Aisling Loftus made her television debut in 2000 on the ITV medical drama Peak Practice. Subsequent years saw her in various guest appearances, including CITV’s Help! I’m a Teenage Outlaw, Casualty, Doctors, and The Bill. Her breakthrough came in 2009 with starring roles in The Fattest Man in Britain and the short film Jade.

The year 2010 marked a turning point in Loftus’s career as she starred in BBC dramas Five Daughters and Dive. Her portrayal of Gemma Adams in Dive garnered critical acclaim, with Euan Ferguson of The Observer predicting Loftus to be a “phenomenon.” She also made her London stage debut in Spur of the Moment at the Royal Court Theatre.
In 2011, Loftus starred in Death of a Superhero, earning the Special Jury Prize at the Dublin International Film Festival. She continued to impress with roles in Page Eight, The Borrowers, and the miniseries Public Enemies. Loftus’s versatility shone through as she played Agnes Towler in the ITV period drama Mr. Selfridge from 2013 to 2016.
