The Diagnosis

In 2016, just four months after the birth of his son Carl, Ady Barkan was confronted with a life-changing diagnosis. He was diagnosed with ALS, a progressive neurodegenerative disease that weakens nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, ultimately leading to loss of muscle control. The diagnosis marked the beginning of an arduous journey, one that would test his resilience and determination.
