Ghanaian actress Janet Ackom, fondly called Mama Jane, recently spoke about her intricate relationship with the late renowned actor Asonaba Kwaku Darko, famously known as Super OD.

Sharing insights on Atinka FM’s Efisem program, Mama Jane revealed their decade-long bond, which began under troubling circumstances.

Recalling their first encounter at a hotel when she was 21, Mama Jane disclosed that Super OD allegedly spiked her drink, leading to her losing consciousness and experiencing non-consensual intimacy.

Despite this distressing start, Super OD insisted on exclusivity, threatening repercussions if she entertained advances from others, especially colleagues.

Reflecting on their relationship, Mama Jane acknowledged its significant, albeit complex, impact on her life. Following their separation, she married and now has two children.

Super OD, known for his roles in the popular Ghanaian series, Akan Drama, enjoyed nationwide fame for his impeccable acting and humor. Sadly, he passed away in February 2018 after battling illness.
