Stefano Pioli’s successful stint posed a significant challenge for his successor, but the AC Milan board swiftly identified Fonseca as the ideal candidate to take over the reins.
Fonseca’s arrival was recently announced by former Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who now serves as a senior advisor for the club’s owners.
Prior to joining AC Milan as the head coach, Paulo Fonseca served as coach for the likes of FC Porto, Braga, Shakhtar Donetsk and Roma.
