Abraham Mateo is a Spanish pop singer, songwriter, composer, music producer and actor.

Abraham Mateo Chamorro was born on 25 August 1998 in San Fernando, Cádiz, Spain. He is the younger child of his parents, Antonio Mateo (a construction worker and security guard) and Susana Chamorro (housewife).

Abraham Mateo has an elder sibling, a brother named Tony Mateo, who is also a musician. Not much is known about his childhood and educational background.

Abraham Mateo started gaining attention in 2006 when he was awarded a special mention at the regional music competition for kids in Andalusia which was organized by the Teresa Rabal Foundation. He went ahead to win the Revelation Award at the national competition in 2008.

Abraham Mateo, however, rose to popularity following the release of the single “Señorita” from his 2013 sophomore studio album AM. The song listed for 40 weeks on Spain’s Top 50 singles chart, peaked on number three and was later certified Gold in Spain. Abraham has since been making waves in the entertainment industry.
