The issue arose when private developers, Dani Ike, falsely claimed ownership of the land and placed containers on it to assert their ownership rights and development plans.
Minister Adjei-Mensah Korsah promptly had the containers removed and pursued legal action when Dani Ike Estate Developers filed a lawsuit.
The court dismissed the case due to insufficient documentation and instructed them to refile with proper paperwork.

Ablakwa, who had initially raised concerns about the land appropriation, commended the Minister’s swift response on social media, confirming the removal of Dani Ike’s containers.

“It’s encouraging to see Minister Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah uphold his promise to protect Parks and Gardens land in Cantonments,” Ablakwa stated. “His actions demonstrate a patriotic stance against state capture.”
Minister Adjei-Mensah Korsah, in previous parliamentary sessions, assured the protection of all lands under his ministry, particularly those managed by the Department of Parks and Gardens in Accra.
He emphasized the government’s ownership of the contested land with valid certificates dating back decades, ensuring transparency and adherence to legal processes in land management.
“I am committed to securing government lands and titles under my ministry,” Minister Adjei-Mensah Korsah affirmed. “We will continue to reclaim encroached lands and protect public assets for the benefit of all Ghanaians.”
