Rosemarie Myrdal (May 20, 1929 – October 11, 2023) was a Republican politician from North Dakota who held the 35th and second female lieutenant governor positions under Governor Ed Schafer from 1992 to 1993. From 1985 until 1992, she also served as a representative for North Dakota. Myrdal was a widow with five kids.

In a statement, North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum referred to Myrdal as “a tireless advocate for the citizens of our state and a champion for children, education, and agriculture.” He commended her for her prior work on the school board and her dedication to topics like history preservation and environmental protection.

There were a total of five kids born to Rosemarie Myrdal, none of whose names have been made public. In 1984, Rosemarie Myrdal won a seat in the House of Representatives of North Dakota. She held office until 1992 and was a Republican. She was chosen to serve alongside Governor Ed Schafer as North Dakota’s lieutenant governor in 1992.
