The entire Zimbabwe community mourn the passing of retired netball player Pauline Jani who represented Zimbabwe in the sport.

The former Gems goal shooter and goal keeper tragically passed away on October 11, 2023, at the age of 34.
The news of her untimely demise was confirmed by Black Mambas’ coach, Talent Museka. Pauline Jani breathed her last at Parirenyatwa Hospital after a prolonged battle with illness.

Her rise to prominence came after a stellar performance as part of the Gems squad that graced the 2019 Vitality Netball World Cup.
Her remarkable talent and contribution to the team left an indelible mark on the sport.
Despite retiring from international netball in 2019 following the World Netball Cup in Liverpool, Jani continued to be a prominent figure in local netball, earning accolades and awards.
Her spirit and dedication to the game will be remembered forever. Zimbabwean netball has truly lost a gem in Pauline Jani.
