Italian architect, designer, and educator Andrea Branzi lived from 30 November 1938 until 9 October 2023. Although he was raised and born in Florence, he spent the majority of his adult life there. At the Polytechnic University of Milan, he served as a professor and the dean of the School of Interior Design until 2009.

At the Florence School of Architecture, Branzi pursued a career in architecture. After earning his degree in 1966, he co-founded Archizoom Associati in Florence, where he worked on the No-Stop City, with Gilberto Corretti, Paolo Deganello, and Massimo Morozzi.

He founded Studio Alchimia in 1976, and he started working with the Memphis Group in the 1980s. The first postgraduate design school in Italy, Domus Academy, had Branzi as its cultural director for the first ten years of operation.
