Anthony Hickox: Waxwork, Hellraiser III director dies at 64

English film director, producer, actor, and screenwriter Anthony Hickox lived from 30 January 1959 to 9 October 2023.
The horror flicks Waxwork and Waxwork II: Lost in Time, Sundown: The Vampire in Retreat, Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth, and Warlock: The Armageddon are among Hickox’s best-known works. He directed the 1997 motion picture adaptation of the well-known comic strip Prince Valiant, which starred Stephen Moyer as the title character.

He frequently employs a dual-focus method where one person’s face fills the majority of the screen in profile while another is shown on the other half of the screen in the background. As a rebellious director who frequently clashed with his producers, Hickox was well-known.

Waxwork and Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth filmmaker Anthony Hickox passed away on October 9 at the age of 64.

According to close friend and CEO of InterTalent Rights Group Jonathan Shalit, Hickox spent his most recent years in Romania, where authorities discovered him dead last week at his home in Bucharest after acquaintances reported not seeing him for some time.
