Anthony Hickox, an English film director, producer, actor, and screenwriter, passed away unexpectedly. Hickox is best known for his work in the horror genre, which includes such movies as Warlock: The Armageddon, Sundown: The Vampire in Retreat, Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth, and Waxwork and its sequel, Waxwork II: Lost in Time.

He began his career in London as a club promoter before moving to Los Angeles in 1986 and developing his writing and directing skills in the late 1980s. After a string of 1990s horror pictures, including the third installment of the Hellraiser series, he subsequently began directing action flicks.
