The novels by English author and theater director David Benedictus are his most well-known works. Returned to the Hundred Acre Wood (2009), a Winnie-the-Pooh book, is among his works. It was a novel of this kind, the first in 81 years.

In the 1990s, Benedictus authored and produced an audio adaptation of two of AA Milne’s Winnie the Pooh stories. This sparked his own two Pooh short stories, which he then submitted to the Milne estate trustees.

Return To The Hundred Acre Wood finally turned these into stories. In addition to Dropping Names and Floating Down To Camelot, which are both set in Cambridge, he also penned more than 20 additional books. Uncle Ernie’s System, the author’s book on how to win at the races, which had 38 editions, also brought him popularity.
