American country music instrumentalist Buck Trent lived from February 17, 1938, to October 9, 2023. He created the electric banjo and was proficient on the guitar, five-string banjo, dobro, steel guitar, mandolin, and electric bass.

Trent’s singing career also featured a lot of traveling performances; in example, in 1976, he toured the Soviet Union alongside Roy Clark. The Soviet Union has never seen a country music act before. Trent appeared at the Baldknobber’s Jamboree Theatre in Branson, Missouri, in the early 1980s while touring with the Porter Wagoner Show.

A few years later, he supported Mickey Gilley at the Mickey Gilley Theatre in Branson, Missouri, and in 1990, he became the first national artist to introduce a live music performance in Branson. This performance took place early in the day.
