In 2019, he took command of the Central Unit of Lakhish, fearlessly confronting notorious organized crime syndicates, both domestic and international.
His unrelenting pursuit of justice resulted in numerous indictments and the removal of high-profile felons, earning him the nickname “the terror of organized crime in Israel.”
In 2021, the Central Unit under his leadership was honored with a citation of excellence. In December 2022, he assumed the role of chief of police in Rahat, a significant position in the Bedouin community.
Tragically, on October 7, 2023, Davidov and three of his officers paid the ultimate sacrifice in a fierce battle with Palestinian militants near Ofakim during the Gaza-Israel conflict.
At the time of his passing, he was designated to establish a new Central Unit for the entire South District.
