While touring the Bahamas as part of a gospel quartet in 1956, Loren had a life-changing experience. He described a vision where waves on a world map’s shorelines grew, eventually covering entire continents. These waves transformed into young people, passionately sharing their faith across the globe. This vision birthed Youth With a Mission (YWAM) in 1960, a movement providing missionary opportunities for Christian youth post-high school, regardless of denomination.
